Contributing to the site

We welcome contributions to the site from conference participants and anyone else active or interested in radical archiving. If you want to send us a single paper, project or event announcement to post on your behalf, please email your text and a link, PDF or jpeg to RA [at] radicalarchives [dot] net. If you are interested in posting to or editing the site on an ongoing basis, please email us to request a username and password.

Using the contributor interface

Log in here or via the Login link in the Community dropdown menu. Enter your username and password into the pop-up authentication window. You are now in the contributor interface. Enter your content in the Content box and your descriptive tags, separated by commas, in the Tags box. Please note: you can use as many tags as you want, but in order for content to show up automatically in a top-level area of the site, you must use at least one of the following tags: absence, affect, ethics, constellation, events, announcements, misc. Posts will be automatically signed with your username and the date of creation.

The Content box is powered by the WYSIWYG editor TinyCME and allows rich text formatting, links, and the embedding of images from online sources. (To get the URL of an online image, just right or control-click the image and choose Copy Image Location from the drop-down menu. You can enter the source information into the Caption field in TinyCME's Insert dialog.) If you want to format the HTML or CSS of your post, click on the Tools Menu and choose View Code to edit the code manually. All code will be checked by an HTML validator (to protect against XSS attacks) so you may lose some formatting when you save your post, but usually this will be minimal.

If you have thoughts about the structure of the site or suggestions for improvements and further build-outs, and have the expertise to work on it, please send us an email - we are always happy to collaborate!
